Primary Outcome(s)
Main Objective: Period 1
• To compare the safety and efficacy of upadacitinib versus placebo on a background of csDMARD(s) for the treatment of signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in bDMARD-inadequate response (bDMARD-IR) or bDMARD-intolerant subjects with moderately to severely active RA
Period 2
• To evaluate the long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of upadacitinib in subjects with RA who have completed Period 1.
Primary end point(s): The primary endpoint is the proportion of subjects achieving ACR 20 response / the proportion of subjects achieving low disease activity (LDA) at Week 12.
