Key inclusion & exclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. patients with ulcerative colitis of the type of sificiency of spleen and retention of damp-heat;
2. voluntary and signed informed consent;
3. without other seriously disease which may affect the quality of life;
4. where 18 years of age or above regardless of gender;
5. with the normal communication skills, and be able to complete the questionnaire separately or helped from others.

Exclusion criteria: 1. refused to sign the informed consent;
2. with other serious disease which may affect the quality of life;
3. cant complete the questionnaire ever helped from others;
4. over 18 years of age; with a history of allergy to drugs;
5. being participated in other clinical trial.
